SPECIAL NOTICE: Grecian Imports will be closing its retail store by the end of 2012, and converting to an online only business. Food products are being phased out first (although some basics will stil be available), followed by the remaining product lines. Martirika (Baptismal Ribbon - Witness Pins)

Martirika or Florakia, as Greeks call them, are a traditional ribbon witness-pin used by Greek Orthodox faithful in their baptismal ceremonies to signify the witnessing of the event.

Our martirika are all hand-sewn with great attention to detail. All materials are top quality and the difference shows. We use silk ribbons, fine lace, and metal icons and crosses imported direct from Greece. Each is hand made by our talented and experienced staff.

Typically, one ribbon per guest attending the event is given. All items are priced per dozen with the exception of the Specials.

Specials, larger versions of the ribbons below (bottom of the page), are imprinted with the status of important persons in the child's life, include people such as the Godfather, Godmother, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.

Witness pins can be made in any color, we can mix and match and components, or we can create something completely new. Custom orders should be placed by phone.

Witness pins come with crosses or mini icons with a pin for attaching. Our staff will pick the cross that looks best or you can choose one from the very bottom of this page.

Names and dates can also be imprinted on the ribbons for an additional fee of $7.20 per dozen plus a flat rate setup fee of $10.00 per order. Not all ribbons are wide enough for printing. Print orders can be made below.

Items marks as "with pin" have an attached pin that pokes through the ribbon and bends down.
Those marked "sewn on" are typically sewed or glued in place.
